Hi, my name's Jasper.

I’m a coder, and code for money, but frankly I'd accept acclaim or really good pizza as payment too. I like to skate, surf, write, joke, travel, and make stupid but stupidly fun generative art.

This site is basically my official, OG presence on the web. It's a tiny collection of blog posts I've written since 2015 (I average around 500 words a year, productivity gurus eat your heart out) plus photos. I used to write about politics and psychology but gave up all that. Nowadays, it's usually about travel or what's annoyed me in tech.

Speaking of tech, you're reading this thanks to a tiny home-grown static site generator written in Ruby — Markdown goes in, pure, organic, free-range HTML and CSS come out, with a dash of JavaScript on top. The finished pages are served as static files from GitHub Pages, and everything is rebuilt and deployed automatically by CI as code lands in its main branch on my GitHub account. Happy days!
